David C. Eshleman MA, LMFT 109797 is a native southern Californian and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with children, teens, adults, couples and families since 2012. During graduate school he completed a 1 year practicum at the South Bay Center for Counseling, providing low fee community and strength based mental health services to a culturally rich group of patients. Post graduation, he continued to help patients at SBCC for another year as a registered MFT Associate in their Counseling Dept as well as a therapist with their Parents and Children Together (PACT) DMH program. He worked for another 2 years as an associate under supervision by Ruby Paparello, LMFT, where he was trained in a combined and tailored psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approach aimed at helping clients to address both the past and present concurrently. He completed the remainder of his 3000 hours under supervision of Jeana De Lay LMFT in Redondo Beach using an ecletic and integrated approach. In addition, he has over 7 years of experience as an educator working with young adults on the Autism Spectrum in a one to one format. As an associate MFT he also co-facilitated Teen to Young Adult:The Gathering Place social skills groups for two years, teaching social skills and sensory regulation skills to adolescent and young adult populations with disabilities. Currently he is in private practice in Hermosa Beach and Sherman Oaks helping children, adolescents, adults and groups to reduce anxiety, heal relationships, gain insight, restore purpose, and to Find Balance.
Aside from psychotherapy, which he enjoys passionately, he enjoys photography, camping, hiking, reading, board games, relationship with family and friends, and his dog.
